Villeroy and Boch to supply Durrat sanitaryware

Villeroy & Boch Middle East is supplying the sanitaryware for the Durrat al Bahrain luxury mixed-use development.

“Though Villeroy & Boch has an enviable track record in the region when it comes to supplying hotels and projects, Durrat al Bahrain has been another milestone for us, and in our partnership with Al Sayyar Trading, the well-established sanitaryware supplier that is our exclusive partner in Bahrain,” said Thorsten Bies, regional manager of Villeroy & Boch Middle East’s bathroom and wellness division.

Al Sayyar Trading signed the deal with Durrat al Bahrain in 2008 to supply the German sanitaryware for the first thousand villas on The Islands component of the development.

The Islands comprises five petal-shaped islands and six atoll-shaped islands that house luxury residential villas, gardens and beaches. Designed in two circular rows, it comprises a total of 2,000 villas in various sizes and styles.

Villeroy & Boch is supplying washbasins, toilets, bidets and bathtubs in its Subway, Pure Basic and Sunberry ranges. For the premium villas, it is supplying Nexion bathtubs made from hi-tech Quaryl material.
