Workers on the Al Salam Street Projects celebrate 3 million manhours without LTIs
Al Salam Street Projects has completed a total of three million working hours without incurring any recordable or days-away-from-work injuries among 1,500 staff and workers since the beginning of May 2008.
The projects, a collaboration between ADM, Urban Planning Council, Department of Transport and the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police are part of Plan Abu Dhabi 2030.
“We are proud of this achievement especially in a project that is as huge as Al Salam Street Projects that has employees working in shifts 24 hours a day. All the companies involved have a strong culture of promoting safe workplace practices and behaviors with a 'zero-incidents' goal for all work environments,” said Abdulla Al Shamsi, acting executive director of municipal assets and infrastructure, Abu Dhabi Municipality.
