Coastal roads make up a major component of the tenders
Oman’s Tender Board has awarded tenders worth a combined total of US$480 million during its 11th meeting of the year in Muscat.
33 tenders were awarded during the session, according to government news agency ONA.
Tenders include the construction of the 65.7 km Al Batinah coastal road from Port of Sohar to Khatmat Mila'ha, worth $380m, a coast road in Dhofar worth $4 million, and the construction of various waste water processing facilities in Sur, Nizwa and Al Buraimi.

The Board also opened bidding for the tender to construct a building for the Legal Affairs Ministry and the tender for design consultancy for the new Sultan Qaboos hospital in Dhofar.
