Dubai Marina
Mott MacDonald provided multi-disciplinary engineering design and construction supervision for the six residential towers covering a 10 hectare site. Dubai Marina’s sheer scale and class makes it one of the Gulf’s most ambitious projects to date and amongst the world’s biggest maritime developments.

Bahrain City Centre Mall
Mott MacDonald was appointed lead consultant and engineer, providing the design of all structural, mechanical, electrical and public health services plus roads and infrastructure, vertical transportation, lighting and façade engineering. Bahrain City Centre comprises 207,000m2 of retail space, two luxury hotels, a 20 screen cinema, 5000 car parking spaces and the Middle East’s largest indoor climate controlled waterpark.
Mall of the Emirates
This 223,000m2 centre was developed by the Majid Al Futtaim Group. Mott MacDonald was the structural engineer for the main mall, car park and Kempinski Hotel. F+A, Holfords, WSP and Hyder comprised the integrated team.
Jumeirah Golf Estates
Mott MacDonald is providing project and cost management and infrastructure design on two golf courses designed by golfing stars Greg Norman, Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia and Pete Dye. The courses are also flanked by retail and leisure developments.
Palm Jumeirah Monorail
The Palm Jumeirah Monorail, Dubai. Mott MacDonald undertook monitoring and assured quality through design & construction for client Nakheel.
Masdar City
Covering an area of some 600ha, Masdar City will be home to 40,000 people, mixing residential, hotel, retail, commercial and light industrial development. Mott MacDonald is lead designer for the power, water, communications, cooling, transport, drainage and waste management infrastructure.
Arabian Canal
The 75km Arabian Canal is one of the UAE’s most ambitious and challenging construction projects to date. Mott MacDonald was appointed as geotechnical engineer.
Abu Dhabi Surface Transport Master Plan
Appointed by Abu Dhabi DoT, Mott MacDonald’s master plan includes a multi-modal system including regional railways, metros, trams, buses and ferries designed to meet the objectives of Abu Dhabi 2030.
