This is the third MEP Awards to date, which have been growing in scope and stature every year; therefore 2009 promises to be as exciting and dynamic as ever, showcasing the best of the industry in a celebratory atmosphere.
The entry process has been made much more user-friendly this year by allowing readers to enter their nominations on-line. Simply go to www.constructionweekonline.com/mepawards for details, or follow the link from www.constructionweekonline.com.
Given the fact that the construction industry in the region has gone through a crucible of fire in the past year due to the impact of the global slowdown, the MEP Awards 2009 will provide an invaluable opportunity for contractors and consultants to take stock.
The winners in the various categories will highlight the strategies adopted by successful companies, and the opportunities they have embraced in ensuring continued growth in a constrained and rapidly changing market.
In addition to some of the hard lessons learnt in the past year, the MEP Awards is also an opportunity for the entire industry to get together and celebrate its accomplishments, recognise and reward excellence, and point the way forward.
Our readers are also reminded of the IDEA Fourth International District Cooling Conference & Trade Show taking place at the InterContinental at Dubai Festival City from 11 to 13 October. The Middle East district cooling industry recently received several accolades at IDEA’s Centennial Conference & Exhibition in Washington, so the regional event promises to be of great interest and benefit. For more details visit www.districtenergy.org.
Also on the agenda is the MEP Conference 2009 on 28 October at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Kuwait City, Kuwait on 28 October. The conference will showcase the numerous opportunities available to MEP contractors and consultants as a result of the burgeoning real estate and infrastructure development in that country, reflecting the trend of regional growth and expansion. For more details follow the link on www.constructionweekonline.com.
All this translates into a full industry calendar for the remainder of the year. Once again, remember to get those entries in timeously!
