This project can be appreciated as one of the more sensitive conservation projects, where the essence of the original house is largely captured. Using the house for the offices of the Heritage Department is apropriate and sensitive to the historic character of the place.

Having an architectural award is an impressive event to receivers, however, the criteria of awarding was not up to the acceptable level to meet such award. On what bases do they have been awarded? Is it based on design aspects only, I guess so. Most of short listed architects/firms have no solid and effective participation in the region but since 2 or 3 years. Their design responses to both environments, social or even technical views are very primitive. Prudently, award assessment criteria was not practical.
