Al Furjan: structural work substantially complete.
Today at Cityscape, one of the Middle East's biggest real estate exhibitions, Nakheel – the master developer behind The Palm – claimed that work on its Al Furjan residential community project was continuing on schedule.
The first stage, claimed Nakheel, will be completed as planned in Q4 2010, ready for a phased handover with 800 homes already under construction.
“Structural work on Al Furjan is substantially complete, and we have commenced paintworks on a number of these homes within the development,” commented Al Furjan director Mohammed Rashed Bin Dhabeah.

“The development is designed to be a traditional family orientated community that will lie in close proximity to other Nakheel projects, adding to the increased connectivity being felt with the introduction of the Metro.
“Since conception, Al Furjan has generated great interest from both investors and residents and we’re delighted that it’s on schedule for handover in Q4, 2010. Nakheel’s aim is to create sustainable, living communities and Al Furjan’s community atmosphere is already beginning to materialise. We truly believe that the goal of creating a community of extended friends, rather than simply neighbours, will be achieved.”
