Caroma believes its contemporary designs are attracting KSA clients
Representatives for Australian ceramic bathroom manufacturer Caroma say they have fielded a strong level of enquires from visitors to Saudi Build.
C.S Chen, the general manager of Caroma’s export arm Claytan Australia, said the company intends to fully enter the Saudi market next year by establishing a network of distributors across the Kingdom.
“Everybody who has walked into our stand has liked the product because the modern designs are very refreshing to the market,” he said.

“What is currently in the market is very traditional. It’s always the same old design, nothing exciting and we think the Caroma products will be a kind of breakthrough.
“Aside from that, most of the competition also can’t match our finish, quality and of course the water saving features. Everybody we speak to is interested in the water saving features.”
Chen said Saudi Arabia was the obvious move for the company seeing they already export to the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait.
He said the goal for next year will primarily be to introduce the brand to the market.
“Right now we know Caroma is a very good brand and it is well know throughout the Gulf, but there is no brand awareness in Saudi Arabia. That is what we are aiming for in the first year,” he said.
“Judging by the response at Saudi Build we should have some success as well. Now that we know more about the market we will also feed information back to our designers in Australia and tailor the designs specifically to suit Saudi Arabia.”
