Pearl Dubai has today announced the completion of concrete raft pouring at the North Tower of its Dubai Pearl project.
Al Habtoor Leighton, contractors for the project, took two days to deliver the 11,000m3 raft.
Ten pumps and 1200 truckloads of concrete reinforcements were poured into the 8m excavation.

Raft pouring has also been completed at the project’s South Tower, one of the four buildings at the development.
And, in September, Pearl Dubai CEO Santhosh Joseph told Construction Week that the third tower raft will be completed by the end of this month.
Around 44,000 cubic meters of concrete will be poured into the foundation of the project, in addition to utilising over 10,000 tonnes of steel reinforcements.
Completion of the entire project will be split into three phases commencing in early 2012.
“We are targeting five levels of elevation on the four towers by the end of this year,” Joseph said.
The four 73-storey towers will include commercial and residential space, as well as hotels.
