Work on the Ducab HV project is expected to take 12 months.
Khansaheb Civil Engineering has been awarded the US$64m contract to build an industrial complex in Jebel Ali for Ducab HV.
Ducab HV is a joint venture between Dubai Cable Company (DUCAB), Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Abu Dhabi Electricity and Water Authority (ADWEA).
“This is a substantial contract for a facility that will play a crucial role in our client’s operations and it indicates a continued commitment to commercial growth in the region,” said Adrain Ringrose, chief executive of Interserve, of which Khansaheb Civil Engineering is an associate company.

Work on the complex will begin in November and is due to last around 12 months.
Interserve stated that the development is focused on the manufacture of electric cables for domestic and international markets and that “facilities will consist of factory buildings, offices, an extra-high-voltage test laboratory, utility buildings, associated infrastructure and two cable-manufacturing towers.”
