The projects will supply water to the province of Muthanna, south of Baghdad
The Iraqi province of Muthanna has announced that two new water projects have been finalised.
The two projects have a combined cost of US $35 million (ID40 billion).
“The two projects’ initial start up phases are underway,” Muthanna media director Abid Fahad Mutar told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

He said that the first project’s capacity is 40 thousand cubic meters per day, while the second project’s capacity is 200 cubic meters per hour.
Samawa, the capital city of Muthanna province, lies 280 km south of Baghdad.
