Chemical company BASF has launched its Mastertop DTZ Terrazzo flooring range in the UAE.
The epoxy terrazzo floor covering is designed for use in public areas that are subject to high volumes of foot traffic and rolling wheels.
“The solution is regionally manufactured and the terrazzo floor finishes are cast in place on site, minimising post consumer waste and transportation. By comparison, much of the marble, granite and natural stone floors laid in the Gulf is manufactured overseas and imported,” said BASF Construction Chemicals performance flooring business systems manager Ian Smith.

The company says the material is particularly appropriate for schools, airports and hospitals, and the design driven markets of retail and commercial buildings.
