The news comes on the back of drops in profit at the developer
Dubai developer Deyaar has announced that it has laid off 20% of its staff following a review.
The cuts, the first made by Deyaar since the beginning of the financial crisis, were announced in a statement to the Dubai Financial Market.
"This rationalisation of resources has been carried out to support Deyaar's sustained growth and maintain its commitments to customers, partners and shareholders in the most efficient possible manner," said the statement.
Earlier this month, Deyaar had announced it saw a 74% drop in profits during Q3 2009, compared to Q3 2008.
