BIM solution used for Capital Gate

Tekla has announced that its Structures BIM (Building Information Modeling) software has been used to design Capital Gate, ADNEC’s (Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company) leaning tower in the UAE capital.
The tower’s engineers have created an 18 degree westward lean – four times the inclination on the Leaning Tower of Pisa – using diagrid structures that are aligned geometrically using Tekla Structures BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
Capital Gate is yet another example of Tekla’s ability to help design and model iconic marvels,” said Tekla Middle East MD Tahir Sharif.
ADNEC’s Capital Gate is a 35 storey, 160 metre tower with an 18 degree lean and is due for completion in 2010.
