Ben Legg and Kathryn Mayes from Carillion Mena picked up the award
Carillion Mena has won the Construction Week Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Year Award.
Nominations for this award had to demonstrate that an organisation had either its employees' welfare or the community at heart.
Whether it was designs of hospitals and municipal buildings, or the construction of habitable labour camps, nominees had to prove that their policy was a change driver and effective CSR.

Carillion Mena was awarded for “its efforts to protect the environment through efficient waste management techniques and various clean up campaigns,” according to the panel of judges.
The campaigns included Clean Up Arabia and Don't Walk By health and safety programme that has been described a ”best practice” by Build Safe UAE.
Others shortlisted were Bovis Lend lease, Dutco Balfour Beatty, ETA Star Property Developers, Woods Bagot and Manazel Real Estate.
