The ceramic manufacturer RAK Ceramics has strengthened its range of environmentally friendly products with the addition of its new ‘RAKSLIM’ brand – an energy-saving façade system.
The company will officially launch the range with a conference to be held at Atlantis, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, on November 24, where the energy-saving qualities of RAK Ceramics’ products will be on the agenda.
"The long-term strategy of the UAE is based primarily on the concept of sustainable development. This has accordingly influenced the increase in demand for sustainable building solutions as developers and contractors move to satisfy the stringent green building standards being imposed by the government. RAK Ceramics will act proactively to support this initiative and contribute towards achieving the UAE's mission of reducing its carbon footprint through the use of a superior range of green-certified products and techniques," commented RAK Ceramics assistant CEO Abdallah Massaad.
The ‘RAKSLIM’ line is a durable, ultra-thin collection of large-format, fully-rectified porcelain tiles measuring 4.5mm in thickness. It can be used as an indoor wall tile or for exterior cladding.
