Ductsox manufactures air ducts made from fabric
Amongst much talk of sustainable and creative building solutions, Ductsox could well be the most innovative of them all.
The company manufactures and supplies air ducts that are actually created from fabric.
“We’re offering an alternative to metal for open ducts, ideal for swimming pools, gymnasiums, grocery stores right through to factories,” said Ductsox president and CEO Cary Pinkalla.
“They’re less expensive, require up to 60% less labour, you can get them in any colour and they don’t suffer from condensation. They’re clearly more sustainable alternatives to metal ducts, plus they are classified for all fire and safety regulations.”

Some that see Ductsox for the first time are concerned that the material won’t be up to tougher, bigger or more industrial jobs but, according to Pinkalla, they needn’t worry.
“These things come in various diameters and we can make them big enough to walk through!”
The Ductsox have already impressed several developers and specifiers in the Middle East; the products have been used at Abu Dhabi’s National Exhibition Centre, Nestle Dubai and even plane hangars in the region.
