Show organisers, DMG World Media, have said that they do not expect the Eid public holidays to negatively affect visitor numbers to the Big 5 on Thursday, the final day of this year’s exhibition.
“Last year we saw 58,000 visitors over the five days; so far, we know that the first two days of this year have been records for the Big 5,” said DMG World Media vice president of construction Simon Mellor.
“We recognise that Thursday is a public holiday but we’re not worried about traffic numbers. A lot of people are extremely busy and may not have had the chance to come down – the public holiday could give them that opportunity.”

Denial
There we go again! The show was obviously quiet on the last day. Which decision maker in his right mind would deny him or herself a day of holiday to visit a construction show, not forgetting that it was a religious holiday too and that would surely be a priority for the Arab visitors!
