PMG delivers Jumeirah Business Centre Towers

Project Management Group (PMG) has handed over phase one of the US $300 million Jumeirah Business Centre Towers to developer Al Fajer.

PMG claims that its management of the project has saved the developer around $16 million.

"We were brought in to address delays which had plagued the project due to the absence of a professional project management firm and to ensure the cost and quality would be up to the standard required by the development firm," said PMG executive partner Ahmed K. Awad.

PMG efforts included retendering the project's nominated subcontracts, which successfully trimmed down the final cost for each tower. Construction was stepped up to a rate where a total of 200 floor slabs were poured over a period of 10 months, reaching a 4-day pour cycle per floor and cutting construction time in half.
