VSL gets ISO certification

VSL has received ISO certification

 VSL Middle East has become the first post-tensioning company in the Middle East to have its locally integrated management system certified by the world leading inspection firm SGS.

The company received an ISO9001: 2008 for quality, OHSAS18001: 2007 for health and safety and ISO14001: 2004 for environmental management the company announced.

In addition a supplementary merit award was granted in special recognition of the standard of quality with respect to the systems put in place by the company.

“Receiving the triple certification is a great satisfaction for all staff who was involved in the preparation and implementation of the system. VSL's staff feel that their efforts have been awarded,” said VSL Middle East QSE manager Herve Maniez.

One key factor of the VSL integrated system is the company intranet, which has been developed to ensure that all necessary information is quickly and easily made available for every project.

Safety initiatives have been developed by the post-tensioning company, such as a safety day where all VSL employees are obliged to take part wherever their workplace or position.

Surveillance audits will be performed by SGS every six months which will ensure that the VSL system is well maintained.
