Audio solution makes 'building in' easier

MindCo Middle East has launched a new technology capable of converting run-of-the-mill building materials into high-quality speakers.
The FeOnic F Series Drives are produced by the UK-based FeONIC Technology and are designed to provide consultants, engineers, interior designers and architects with a unique audio solution. The drives are small in size and can be easily integrated into commonplace structures such as tables, walls, ceilings, floors, doors or even bath tubs.
Once attached, the drives convert the surface into a speaker, creating superior music quality while ensuring that the source of audio output is completely hidden from view.
The technology can be used in combination with all commonly used resonant building materials, such as MDF, glass panels, plasterboards, plywood, metal sheet and structures, plastics, laminates, honeycomb panels, acrylic, fibreglass panels and wooden structures.
The drives have distributed output, rather than conical output, meaning that they create a larger area for the delivery of sound output. Importantly, FeONIC Technology also minimises noise pollution, offering near perfect distribution of sound with no reverberation, bounce or echo.
FeONIC drives are currently available in three models: the F4 Drive has a 20W output (100Hz-20KHz), the F 1.3 Drive has a 100W output (63 Hz – 20 KHz) and the S Drive is a sub-woofer drive (20Hz-200Hz). The product is suitable for high-end commercial spaces such as spas, restaurants, hotel rooms, bar counters, retail outlets and art galleries.
The solution is also cost effective, with one drive replacing up to five or six speakers. The product requires fewer man-hours during installation and involves lower maintenance costs.
