LG goes green at world's largest HVACR event

LG Electronics has unveiled three new air-con models at AHR Expo in Florida in the US, billed as the world’s largest HVACR event. These high SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rated) models are aimed at commercial applications.

Best known for its advanced duct-free systems, LG’s commercial air-con products provide cost-effective and energy-efficient climate-control solutions. The new models range in efficiency from 18.4 SEER to 20 SEER. These new high SEER models will be introduced in the second quarter of 2010.

“LG Electronics has been one of the world’s largest producers of air-conditioners. We are building on this global leadership position and looking to grow the business in this market,” said Kelly Cutchins, vice-president, commercial air-con, LG Electronics US.

“Illustrating that commitment, we have energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions that blend effortlessly into a wide range of commercial and residential environments. Supporting the industry’s training needs, and especially our growing customer base, we are excited to have opened two training academies in the last two years, and we have more plans in store in 2010 and beyond,” revealed Cutchins.
