Europontex brings green products to GCC

Europontex: A cladding and solar panel in one.

Europontex is bringing a new panel that has both solar and cladding functions to the regional market.

According to Fernando Azevedo, CEO of Europontex, the panel offers a structural element for cladding and uses thin photovoltaic cells to generate 1000V/m² (STC).

“Our clients need products with green credentials to compete for new contracts, contracts which are often guided or regulated by strict environmental requirements,” said Azevedo.

“Europontex sees its role as that of a consultant and supplier. In today’s marketplace, successful suppliers must foresee their clients’ needs, then design and supply products which are ahead of the competitive curve."

The panel is made from pre-painted sandwich foam polyurethane (PUR) panel and is now available in various thicknesses. Europontex is also licensed to produce the panel in PIR foam.

“Architects and constructors will choose the best value product with a low install cost – it’s because we have taken time to ask these professionals what they wanted, that we’ve brought this panel to market now,” claimed Azevedo.
