Drake and Scull International (DSI) has won a US $51 million (AED187 million) contract to supply MEP works to the Rosewood Abu Dhabi Hotel.
The new contract, awarded by Arabian Construction Company, is the third DSI has won this year, bringing its total value of projects won in Q1 to $100.4 million.
“We are very pleased to be able to contribute to the growing market for construction and property development in Abu Dhabi,” said DSI vice chairman and CEO Khaldoun Tabari.
The five-star hotel, which is being developed on Abu Dhabi’s Sowwah Island, is set to open in the first quarter of 2012.
Mubadala Real Estate & Hospitality, in partnership with John Buck International, is the hotel developer, while Handel Architects designed the project.
