Engineering students to gain from expertise

Alhosn University in Abu Dhabi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Society of Engineers, with the aim of enhancing the university’s engineering department.
Activities will include regular meetings and joint events, including training workshops, conferences and other educational programmes.
“Our partnership with the country’s leading organization in the engineering profession will enable us to expose our faculty and students to the latest engineering techniques, trends, and technologies,” said Professor Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor of Alhosn University, said in a statement.
“More importantly, it will introduce our students to real-life applications and thus enhance the level of their classroom understanding.”
The UAE Society of Engineers was established as a semi-government sector and a non-profit organisation in 1979 in support of the national engineering sector.
