The third edition of the Saudi PMV show, the region’s leading event for plant, machinery and vehicles, will kick off on Sunday March 7 at Jeddah Gate in the centre of the city.

The show offers a unique opportunity to see, touch and test the latest construction equipment and machinery.

This year, the event also features a special two day conference that will offer an invaluable forum for interaction between planners, developers and contractors.

“Recent trends illustrate just how important the Saudi Arabian construction market is for the region,” said Kimon Alexandrou, conference director, ITP Events & Conferences, the show organiser.

“The Kingdom’s population is booming, requiring extensive real estate development, and the country accounts for 50% of regional infrastructure spending with $105 billion in investments planned in projects such as hospitals, roads, railways, and airports.”

ITP Events & Conferences is part of ITP Business Publishing, publisher of PMV magazine and Construction Week.

Zahid Tractor is the Platinum Sponsor of Saudi PMV Show, which will run until March 9. The event is held in partnership with Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority and Jeddah Gate; and is supported by Emaar.

In the wake of numerous delays and cost overruns, Emaar recently removed Sameh Muhtadi as Chief Executive Officer of Emaar?s efforts at entering the real estate market in Egypt. Sources within Emaar Misr have stated that Muhtadi?s departure was related to the lack of substantial progress on Emaar?s Uptown Cairo, Cairo Gate, Mivida, and Marassi Developments. Emaar has been active on the site since 2006, however, the developer has yet to deliver a single home. Sources have also stated that Emaar Misr had been subject to a selective and rigorous internal audit by Emaar due to the unexplained delays and massive cost overruns. Muhtadi has been replaced by Mohamed El Dahan, Emaar?s Internal Audit Executive Director.
