Two projects, recently secured by Aecom, will provide sewage facilities for isolated properties in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
For the first commission, the company will work with the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC) to design sewerage connections and related works, as well as provide construction supervision for the project.
The second commission is for Phase 2 of the design and construction supervision of wastewater relocation works under roads and utility schemes in Abu Dhabi. These two projects are already underway.
In a statement, ADSSC managing director Alan Thomson said that the projects were part of the company’s AED 24 billion investment program over the next five years.

“ADSSC has a very large program of work requiring expertise from around the globe,” he said. “Our relationship with Aecom is an important element of program delivery and we are pleased to continue our relationship with Aecom following the award of these contracts.”
The range of current commissions with ADSSC includes the relocation of wastewater trunk lines along Salam Street in Abu Dhabi. AECOM is also involved in the delivery of four projects under construction along Salam Street; in addition to the design review and construction supervision of sewage treatment plants (STP) in Zafaran, Mafraq, and Zakher.
