The Sika Group is a manufacturer of speciality chemicals for the construction industry and provides products that help the sector gain LEED points.
Sika’s product range features concrete admixtures, specialty mortars, sealants and adhesives, damping and reinforcing materials, structural strengthening systems, industrial flooring, as well as roofing and waterproofing systems.
In terms of eco-friendly products, Sika produces Sarnafil, a light reflecting membrane used for roofs. Made from traffic-white PVC material, the product breaks down UV rays to protect a building from heat gain.

Sarnafil can demonstrate a life expectancy beyond the bulk roofing materials and wastage on this material is minimal. Another product offered by Sika is the vegetated roof, which protects surfaces from UV rays and filters pollutants by absorbing rainwater.
The company relatively new to the Middle East, but this year it will celebrate 100 years of developing products and solutions for the building industry. It now has a presence in over 70 countries and employs over 12,000 staff.
