1800 jobs to be created at Bahrain steel plant

Steel plant to boost jobs.

About 1,800 jobs will be created at a new $3.5 billion steel complex in Bahrain, it was reported on Wednesday.

The project at the Salman Industrial City, Hidd, will turn Bahrain into a steel powerhouse to reckon with in the Middle East, said Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Economic Development Board chairman.

"This landmark national achievement is the fruit of the economic and industrial renaissance led by His Majesty King Hamad," the Crown Prince said in comments published by Gulf Daily News.

"The development march aims at diversifying sources of income and opening doors for skilled Bahrainis to seize their opportunities and enjoy rewarding salaries."

Its a good news for the Bahrain industries, who can expect more jobs in terms of contracts and in terms of individual job. Bahrain Ministry of Industry should call for the companies in Bahrain to bid for the various jobs to be executed under the main contractor. This will create a industrial revival in kingdom of Bahrain and the economic of Bahrain industrial segment will see a marvelous growth and we as a part of Bahrain industry request Dr. Hassan Fakhroo, our honourable ministry for Industry to promote the participation of Bahrain industry in this prestigious project.

What About Pollution
Bahrain is a very small place, so I hope that they have conducted environmental studies as well taken all measures to cut air pollution. Alba alone creates alot of pollution in the air. I hope they think of this otherwise it will be another problem. Bahrain is one of the worst 10 places in world when it comes to pollution.
