Employees from Unibeton and MBM Dallah cleaned up the industrial zone.
The Environment Agency, Abu Dhabi (EAD) has teamed up with Unibeton Ready Mix to clean up the emirate’s Mussafah Industrial Area.
As part of earth day, employees from Unibeton and waste management service provider MBM Dallah, along with staff from the Abu Dhabi Municipality and Centre for Waste Management removed around one tonne of trash including plastic, pipes and construction metal from the business district.
“At EAD, one of our priorities is to raise public awareness about the hazards of pollution. Through this clean-up campaign, we are encouraging the public to adopt a positive attitude towards maintaining a clean and sound environment by practice and participation. Unibeton and other main players in the construction industry have a major responsibility to uphold in achieving a clean and sustainable future,” said EAD’s Environmental Education Department manager Fozeya Al Mahmoud.

Earth day was marked on April 24 and the clean up began at 8:30am the same day.
“We are pleased to support EAD in its mission to raise public awareness and motivate the members of our community to take a proactive stance with initiatives in support of World Earth Day,” added Unibeton senior vice president Mohammed Shehadeh.
