The Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), which serves as the secretariat for the International Council of Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating Manufacturers’ Associations (ICARHMA), announced leadership appointments at two ICARHMA members.
The Brazilian Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Ventilation Industry Association (ABRAVA) Associated Members appointed Samoel Vieira de Souza as president of the ABRAVA administrative council and board of directors for a three-year period. Samoel, currently president of air-con company CACR Engenharia e Instalações Ltda., will assume his operational position on 1 July 2010.
The board of the Korea Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association (KRAIA) appointed Hwanyong Nho as chairman of the association, with effect from 1 June 2010. Nho is president and CEO of LG Electronics Air-Conditioning.
AHRI President and CEO Stephen Yurek congratulated Nho and Samoel. “AHRI highly values the partnership with these organisations, and with other ICARHMA members, especially in a period when the industry faces many global challenges. It especially welcomes leaders who will continue the positive leadership that has been the hall-mark of previous leaders of the two organisations.”
