Summertown Interiors will highlight the benefits of environmentally-friendly interior fit-outs in a series of workshops.

The fit-out specialist recently invited project and facilities managers to attend a workshop and tour of the Summertown premises in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, to highlight the numerous benefits of implementing stringent environmental standards during an interior fit-out.

The company has recognised the need to make sustainable solutions more accessible to commercial organisations, both at client level and to industry peers, as there is currently a lack of live case studies in the UAE market.

“We are delighted that we had the opportunity to introduce representatives from such prestigious organisations to the philosophies that have defined our operations and core values,” commented Marcos Bish, managing director of Summertown Interiors.

“We strongly believe that sustainability, through initiatives such as LEED certification, is analogous to a company’s profitability and provides a visible return on investment within just three to eight years. These workshops characterise a process that actively engages prominent decision makers and fundamentally creates a broader understanding of the cost savings and design advantages that come with creating premises such as Summertown’s LEED gold-certified showroom in Jebel Ali Free Zone.”

Summertown Interiors will continue this initiative throughout the summer months, with a number of additional Green in Action workshops planned during July and August.
