A record number of projects, individuals and firms have been submitted for this year's Middle East Architect Awards - and architects, designers and engineers now have just ten days to get their submissions in.
Middle East Architect has received more than 70 nominations from across the Middle East and North Africa region, including many projects from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE as well as Egypt and Algeria. The figure has already exceeded the 64 submissions received in 2009, with dozens more expected to come through in the coming week.
The final deadline for nominations was extended to 31st July, meaning potential candidates for the 14 categories have just over a week to finalise their submissions.
This year's event will be held at the Park Hyatt in Dubai on 28 September, where winners will be announced in front of an audience made up of firms from across the Middle East.
