Al Fara'a bags seven international business awards

Al Fara’a Construction Group has picked up seven International Stevie Awards including Most Innovative Company of the Year for its ready mix business, Unibeton and Chairman of the Year, which went to Dr JR Gangaramani.

The Stevie Awards is the only global programme of its kind, which honours great performances in all business sectors.

Other awards included IT Department and Support Department of the Year, both of which went to Unibeton Ready Mix, while Al Fara’a Group walked away with the HR Department of the Year gong.

Unibeton also bagged the Environmental Responsibility Programme Award for its commitment to recycling, while the company’s senior vice president Mohammed Shehadeh was named the MENA Executive of the Year.

“We have always tried very hard to beat deadline requirements of customers and then even harder to deliver what the customer wanted, rather than sell them what we thought they wanted. This collection of awards is an acknowledgement of these efforts and for this we are truly thankful,” said Shehadeh.

Recipients of the trophies were selected from more than 1700 entries, received from organisations and individuals in more than 40 countries.

Honourees were selected through two rounds of judging by business professionals worldwide.

The awards will be presented to winners at a gala dinner on September 27 in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey.
