Imdaad, in conjunction with Burj Khalifa's management team, will develop and operate an environment management system. This will include monitoring systems to ensure compliance with sustainability requirements.

"Burj Khalifa is setting benchmarks in sustainable development through several concerted initiatives. A focus on recycling is one of the key pillars in this sustainability drive. We will continue to focus on initiatives that will enhance energy and water use efficiency, with an emphasis on global best practices in our environmental management system," said Emaar Properties CEO Issam Galadari.
