Position Description
This NDT incumbent will provide solutions to inspection problems at all Saudi Aramco facilities; transfer and implement new advanced inspection technologies to Saudi Aramco facilities.

Investigate solutions to existing and potential inspection challenges; plan and develop strategies to resolve the inspection challenges; develop cost effective applications of new inspection technologies; supervise execution and implementation of the technologies throughout Saudi Aramco facilities.

Train technicians to provide inspection services to Saudi Aramco facilities.

Conduct research and development of innovative ideas to solve inspection challenges; perform analysis on complex data from field trials of advance NDT technologies; write professional engineering reports; plan, schedule and provide work direction as required for preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data and assure the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of all phases of very complex engineering problems.

Minimum Requirements
BS in Engineering

Nine (9) years, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry; thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, U.S. and Saudi Aramco's Codes, Standards and Specifications; experience in NDT fields like UT, RT, ET, etc; should possess skills/experience to be able to conduct NDT related research and development and demonstrate ability to present professional papers at international conferences.

Should be an active member of a professional society such as ASNT, IEEE, ASME, etc or have served on a national or international NDT standards committee.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspection Department (ID) is charged with the corporate responsibility for Inspection of materials and equipments purchased, and equipments and facilities constructed for Saudi Aramco.
• The incumbent will be assigned to ID's Inspection Technology Unit (ITU), which shall actively pursue identification, development, and cost effective implementation of new and advanced inspection technology.
