Our client, a multinational company based in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Head of Engineering to work across their multiple business sectors.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the support function head for all Engineering related matters. You will coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment, develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the company, perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services, recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.

You will assist in bids and development of new clients and develop and maintain relationships with existing clients.

To qualify, you will possess a relevant engineering degree and you will have worked in a senior managerial role but will be capable of demonstrating a 'hands on' approach where necessary. With an incredibly pro-active approach to maintenance and engineering support, you will have ideally worked in a company with multiple business lines. You will have previous experience of managing in-house and partnership projects, have a thorough knowledge of engineering and technology best practice and processes, experience of strategic planning, possess clear and demonstrable team and individual development experience to meet current and future project needs, have extensive and demonstrable experience of Engineering department management and leadership of multi-disciplinary Engineering teams. You will have good communication at all levels - ability to present information and to respond to questions from customers, line reports, managers or directors of the business. You must have previous experience of delivering technical work packages either within or to OEM’s.
