Assist, collaborate, coordinate, contribute and deputize Project Procurement Coordinator in providing, with full responsibility and accountability, a professional service to the company covering all areas of project procurement / materials coordination, during the definition and execution stages of contract packages for the company, ensuring that all materials and equipment and their timely delivery to site are in compliance with the specified Codes, Standards and National & Corporation requirements and the Project schedule.

Extend help to Project Procurement Coordinator in liaising with appointed contractor(s), external authorities, end-users,client's Materials Department (as necessary), Qatar Customs Authority and Qatar Regulatory bodies in order to procure cost effective and fit for purpose materials solutions, to meet the Company's aspirations, approved budget, schedule, and quality & safety requirements.

Who we're looking for

Education:
B.Sc. Degree in an appropriate business related or technical discipline.
Preference will be given to Professional membership of a recognized international institute / association / organization.

Experience:
A minimum of 8 - 10 years broad based experience in the procurement of materials and equipment associated with the design and construction of large Building works, with a minimum of 5 years experience working in the Middle East.

Extensive experience in inter-disciplinary coordination responsibilities and an ability to identify and formulate practical solutions to the spectrum of materials and equipment issues associated with Special Projects.

High proficiency level in the use of the English language, which must approach native speaker standard. Extensive knowledge of international law, related to movement of cargo, and wide ranging experience of dealing with contractual disputes and arbitration issues on materials procurement and delivery.
