To establish, with full responsibility and accountability a practical, sound and effective system for the prevention of accident, incident and injury within the phases of project(s) thus to assign specific responsibilities for the execution of the project(s) in line with the Codes, National and International standards / regulations, ASTAD procedures / guidelines, Client requirements / mandates while adhering to sustainability objectives.

Assist the Senior Safety Engineer in the implementation of total safety management systems by adopting the safety and health standards to assist involved personnel in the recognition, evaluation and control of potential hazardous activities.

Who we're looking for

• Minimum HND or equivalent education preferably recognised Safety Course (NEBOSH or equivalent).
• Associate member of recognized safety institution viz. OSHA or IOSH.
• A minimum of 10 years experience in operational safety requirements, thorough knowledge in safety regulations / procedures, etc. preferably in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry.
• Advanced knowledge in a field of science, industrial engineering or related discipline. Knowledge of safety programs, engineering programs, principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, engineering systems, principles, and methodologies. Knowledge of national and international safety laws/regulations and regulatory agencies' processes and responsibilities, industry standards / practices for safety and health compliance, and best management practices for minimizing potential safety risks during project execution. Knowledge of hazardous materials and physical risk exposures and Personal Protective Equipment standards as well as People Based Safety processes & procedures.
• Experience in managing and / or providing technical oversight of safety and / or health subcontractors or consultants. Experience in safety inspections / assessments during construction. Prior practical work experience in office settings (e.g., managing safety and health programs, budgets and staff) and field locations.
