Position Duties / Responsibilities
REGIONAL LABORATORY MANAGER

Job Purpose
Oversee the management of the existing materials testing business and operations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Oman, for testing of soil, aggregates, construction materials and for NDT.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and oversee all Laboratory Testing services in branches and project sites to ensure delivery of accurate and timely test results/data
2. Lead, coach and train the entire Laboratory team in its processes and standards, to increase competence and improve performance on a continual basis
3. Support Operations, Geotechnical, Engineering and Commercial Departments as well as Branch Heads in Business Development efforts
4. Plan and implement extensions and improvements to testing services for FME’s customers
5. Ensure Quality Assurance and compliance with internationally recognised and local government standards
6. Ensure up to date Accreditation / Certifications
7. Coordinate with QA/HSE and participate personally to ensure safe practices are followed and safety training is reinforced regularly
8. Ensure cost effective operations of all laboratory services
9. Prepare and submit complete, correct and timely reports

Qualifications
Graduate in Civil Engineering or Earth Sciences
Preferable: Training in NDT and Quality Certification Training

Experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a progressively more responsible role.
- Should have independently managed laboratories, maintained Quality Systems &
Certifications.

Preferable:
• Management of establishment and operations of NDT
