ObjectivesPurpose of the role
To support the procurement function of the organization and to provide efficient support to operations and aftermarket teams
. Optimise relations with key suppliers, to support cost reductions and delivery lead times
.Plan and carry out all procurement activities in an efficient and cost effective manner, coordinate activities with other departments
.Ensure adherence to company requirements regarding the purchase of material
.Key Areas of Responsibility
Day to day management of the procurement function to support to operation and aftermarket teams
Plan and coordinate the materials purchase on a timely basis to ensure maximum efficiency
Maintain records to ensure all material are tracked to the destination and advise the required personnel in advance regarding the arrival of materialsassets
Support bidding and tendering function with timely and accurate inputs
Reduce costs by sourcing material directly from manufacturers whenever possible
Ensure adequate procedures are implemented to cover all procurement related issues
Ensure that all policies of the organization are followed
Responsibility for the efficient management of purchases, in coordination with the procurement supervisor
Ensure proper records are maintained to afford traceability of all procurement related information. Special emphasis on reduction of book stocks by utilizing available items in inventory
Work with the Quality and HSE Representatives to ensure that the procurement is fully compliant with company HSE policy and procedures and the Quality system
Liaise with site personnel at remote locations to understand the requirements and provide procurement support as required
Optimise relations with key suppliers, to support cost reductions and delivery lead times
Coordinating with finance department to ensure all expenses are coded correctly to ensure costs are captured correctly
Cultivate an open, transparent, team working environment within the procurement department fully aligned with the Group Core Values
Knowledgeexperienceskillspersonal attributes
7 yrs + of relevant working experience in procurement
Experience gained in a Oil and Gas Industry Degree from a recognised university
Experience in working in multicultural environment
Self motivation, ability to work under pressure within a team environment, good communication skills, professional attitude and long working hours to support site personnel
