Position Description
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, housed in an iconic building, is a fully integrated institution of lifelong learning, inspiration and cross-cultural engagement. The Center is a Saudi Armco initiative, and it will contain temporary exhibits, performing arts, feature walls, catering facilities, a library, a museum, and the Children‘s Discovery Zone, with its own oasis garden and play area.

The Operations Director is responsible for the overall general functioning of each department operationally within the Theatres facilities and how they interact. Oversight of technical management, box office, event planning, and front of house and customer service, daily maintenance and housekeeping, security needs, parking attendants, police, medical personnel, fire watch and contracted parties.

Also, responsible for ensuring all events planning documents and event financial projections are completed. (OD) should provide oversight to make certain that all Theatre event logistics are functioning with the proper staffing levels, has access to the required equipment and have been appropriately planned in advance and then executed. The Operations Director will report directly to the Theatre Director.

Minimum Requirements
The candidate should have a Bachelor degree with minimum 10 years prior experience in a performing arts facility or professional entertainment venue in a high level management position.

Extensive knowledge and experience in theatre/facility management including for-profit and non-profit performing arts centers as well as multipurpose facilities with finances and budgets, day to day operations, asset and risk management, programming-presenting, box office services, front of house services, customer service, financial settlements, labor negotiations, artist contracts, administration, concessions, facility maintenance and technical theatre.

Duties & Responsibilities
Implements and maintains work health and safety policies and regulations throughout operations for all patrons and personnel.

Ensures all company policies, procedures, Risk Management, safety precautions, rules/regulations Ensures fire and emergency safety systems and procedures are in operating order and compliant with codes, ordinances and laws.

Oversees the ongoing development of staff and staffing needs for all departments (i.e. technical, theatre box office, event planning, and front of house and customer service, daily maintenance and housekeeping, security needs, parking attendants, police, medical personnel, fire watch and contracted parties).

Manages the plan and recruitment process for department heads in collaboration with the Human Resources.

Manages subordinates in compliance with Human Resources Policies and Procedures.

Coordinates the Operations activities with other departments and event related contractors to assure facility readiness and smooth operation of events.

Oversees the planning, implementation and supervision for all shows/events within the theatres.

Oversees and manages cost control for all related departments.
