Maintenance Engineer (Mechanics)
Position Description
Saudi Aramco seeks an experienced maintenance engineer to work for BGP Projects and T&I Unit which provides cost effective and innovative solutions that support Berri Gas Plant’s operations to maintain the facilities safe and reliable with least impact on the environment. Berri Gas Plant is a group of gas processing facilities that process sour gas and produces sales gas, ethane, C3+, sulfur and Power.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Engineering
- Must have a minimum of 7 years job related experience
- Must be willing to travel throughout area of operations and frequently commute to job locations in area other than residence.
- Must have experience in the development of comprehensive Testing & Inspection (T&I) scope and execution plans that include, but are not limited to, T&I packages, relevant procurement activities and budgetary requirements.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Projects
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates maintenance programs with user units to determine relative priorities and on-time completion of work in critical operating facilities with available work force.
- Assigns maintenance manpower within assigned area to meet daily changes in operating requirements and priorities.
- Recommends special work schedules, overtime or contractor participation to meet unusual or emergency situations.
- Plans assigned T&Is field-wide, analyses and sequences all work requests; estimates required manpower, justifying when necessary requests for additional manpower, overtime or extension of unit downtime.
- Assures that all details of material and equipment are available at job site.
- On major T&Is, incumbent may direct one or more Maintenance Engineers in accomplishing this phase of the work.
- Executes the actual work during a T&I period, coordinates activities of assigned craftsmen and such other personnel as are assigned (night shift coordination, etc.) to assist in the execution of the work. Incumbent may act as the day shift coordinator on T&Is or direct the activities of one or more Maintenance Engineers assigned to this phase of the work.
- Reports to concerned Maintenance Supervisor on quality and quantity of workmanship and adherence to standards by Maintenance Engineers and craftsmen within his assigned areas and recommends improved work methods. - Reports on deviation from approved schedules and assists in the correction of such deviations.
