SOLAR ENGINEER/SCIENTIST

Position Description
We are seeking a Solar Engineer or Scientist to join our Power Systems Organization.
This position is primarily responsible for technology research and qualification, design concept review, projects studies, performance analysis under various environments, operations and maintenance optimization.

Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors Degree in a relevant Engineering field from a recognized and approved program.

You will have more than ten years experience, including direct engineering experience with machinery including gearing, generators and or bearings.

Experience with solar technologies and related system integration with a capability to provide analytical and modeling skills for design, construction and operation of utility scale solar power plants is required. This will preferably combine both photovoltaic (PV) and thermal (CSP) technologies.

Familiarity with TRNSYS, SolTRACE and OpTaliX is required

You will also be able to demonstrate experience and formal training for root-cause analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:

Develop and conduct field testing, monitor field performance data, simulate and optimize complex systems on PV and CSP technologies.

Conduct analysis of solar and balance of systems (BOS).

Develop and implement metrology performance models and determine functional requirements for metrology systems and its
components.

Assess quality and audit manufacturing production facilities.
