This firm was started back in 1905, but it was the acquisition of Kenworth following WW2 that brought the firm to our attention here in the Middle East. Massively over-engineered, the Kenworth became synonymous with the oil boom, as it could haul giant drills pretty much anywhere. This brand, along with Peterbuilt, is still available in the GCC today, but it is the DAF range of truck heads that are PACCAR's main volume sellers. These trucks are built in the Leyland plant in the UK, and can be specified with bodies straight from the factory. Email to friend
