DLD, Dubai real estate companies to host American investors
Real estate stakeholders will promote UAE emirate's attractiveness to US investors at upcoming event
Dubai Land Department (DLD) will receive a US delegation of more than 150 government and private-sector representatives seeking investment opportunities in the UAE emirate.
According to Sultan Butti bin Mejren, DLD director-general, the visit – set to take place on 13 January, 2019 – is evidence of the Dubai real estate market's “entry into a new phase of growth”.
The decision to invite the US real estate delegation, he added, is aimed at “promoting and managing real estate investment at DLD to strengthen its rich agenda of innovative initiatives that aim to consolidate transparency and enhance Dubai’s position as an attractive investment environment”.
DLD said the visit is the result of cooperation between itself, the US real estate promotion trustee Aqari Global Ltd, and Century 21 UAE.
It is the first initiative of its kind to promote Dubai’s real estate market to investors and real estate agents from the US and the world.
During the visit, the delegation will review a number of developers’ real estate projects with presentations that highlight the factors of political and social stability in the UAE generally, and Dubai specifically. Local legislation and real estate laws will also be put forward to the group.
Majida Ali Rashid, chief executive officer of DLD’s real estate promotion and investment management sector, said: “This visit will be the first of our initiatives to promote real estate opportunities during 2019, especially as Dubai’s real estate market is entering a new phase of sustainable growth that promises a rising wave that coincides with the launch of Expo 2020.”
In a similar vein to the US delegation's upcoming Dubai visit, July 2018 saw DLD ink an agreement with Middle East real estate platform Cityscape to promote Dubai as an attractive real estate destination to domestic and international players.
