Abu Dhabi's $599m infra project in Madinat Zayed 83.6% complete
Abu Dhabi Housing Authority and Musanada's Emirati Neighbourhood Infrastructure Project will offer 2,769 plots
The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) and Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) have noted 83.6% completion of infrastructure and internal road works at the $599m (AED2.2bn) Emirati Neighbourhood Infrastructure Project in Abu Dhabi's Madinat Zayed.
According to state-run news agency Wam, work on the project - comprised of Packages 2A, 3, and 4 - has been on-schedule.
ADHA said the project - touted as one of the largest in Abu Dhabi - is being delivered over a total area of more than 1,320ha.
Work on Package 2A, which spans 76.7ha and has been valued at $141.2m (AED518.6m), has marked 89.7% progress. The scheme is set be completed by end of 2019.
Wam stated that work on 750ha Package 3. valued at $266.8m (AED979.8m), is 74.5% complete, with construction on the scheme expected to be completed by Q4 2020.
Package 4 of the project, which spans an area of 510ha, has noted 86% completion. Overall work on the $201.2m (AED739m) scheme is set to be wrapped up by third quarter of 2020, the news outlet added.
The Emirati Neighbourhood Infrastructure Project will offer 2,769 residential plots, nine schools, 37 mosques, 45 parks, 10 commercial centres, and 21 community and social facilities.
