Matija Vokovic-designed pavilion will be located in the Sustainability District at the World Fair's 438ha site
Taking shape at Expo 2020 Dubai’s Sustainability District is the national pavilion for Montenegro, the design for which was revealed ahead of the Balkan country’s Statehood Day, which is celebrated from 13 to 14 July every year.
Designed by Matija Vokovic, the Montenegrin pavilion will showcase the country’s cultural history, wildlife as well as its sustainability-driven future at the six-month long world fair that will open its doors to more than 25 million visits on 20 October, 2020.
According to the video shared in on Expo 2020 Dubai's official Twitter handle, visitors will walk through a wool-woven path at the pavilion, with a forest of lights also featuring.

In October 2018, Montenegro’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs opened a concept design competition for the installation, shape and graphic integrated design for its national pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The pavilion will offer a tour, supported by augmented reality (AR), that will offer insights into the five elements of Montenegro's nature - including, sea, mountains, rivers, lakes, and biodiversity. Stories about the country's first printing press are also planned for pavilion visitors.
