Tadawul-listed Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) has completed the periodic turnaround maintenance work for its acetic acid plant, which is part of its affiliate International Acetate Company (IAC).

In a stock market missive, the company revealed that startup activities for the plant commenced on 3 August, 2019.

The statement said: “During the scheduled turnaround, the required maintenance works were safely completed, which will enhance the reliability of production and allow the acetic acid plant to achieve its future operational plans.”

According to Sipchem, the financial impact of the project will be reflected in Q3 2019 financial results.

Earlier in July 2019, the company completed periodic maintenance activities at its vinyl acetate monomer plant, which is part of its International Vinyl Acetate Company (IVC) affiliate.
