Empower trains more than 200 people on safety, data analytics

UAE’s Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, referred to as Empower, has trained more than 200 employees from January to July, 2019 across a range of technical, safety and soft skills.

Empower recently awarded contracts valued at over $27.2m (AED100m) to extend its 10km network and connect various plants in Dubai Production City.

The company said in a statement that the training courses were conducted as part of its annual training and development programme.

Training workshops comprising technical, safety and soft skill courses which included sessions on supervisory and communication skills, data analytics, Oracle database security and parallel working environment system design were conducted as part of the programme.

Additionally, fire safety fundamentals and usage of fire extinguishers, district cooling for designers and owners, as well as maintenance and troubleshooting courses were also organised by Empower.

Speaking about the employee training programme, Empower's CEO, Ahmad Bin Shafar, said: “We give high importance for the training and development of our employees professionally, especially our Emirati staff, with an annual agenda aimed at enhancing their performance level and productivity."

He added: “Our employees are the real capital of our organisation; they are our local and global ambassadors, and are the major driving force for the development of Dubai's district cooling industry.”
